What is Parent Pals?

Parent Pals’ free and voluntary services focus on building parenting skills, ensuring your child’s healthy development, and connecting your family to local resources like affordable housing, parenting groups, and employment resources.

Raising a child can be overwhelming. From potty training and soothing temper tantrums to finding energy after your little one’s sleepless night, parents like you are doing it all. Let Parent Pals help you carry the load!

Eligibility

We support Iowa families living in Jackson, Clinton, Scott, and Cerro Gordo counties. Parent Pals is for individuals who are single, married, or unmarried and who are expecting a child or parenting children under the age of 5.

Family Support

You’ll be matched with a professional who can:

  • Regularly visit your home

  • Share helpful parenting tips, strategies, and information

  • Help you track immunizations and wellness checks for your child

  • Connect you with parent support groups in your area

  • Be a listening ear when you need to talk

Virtual Home Visiting

Parent Pals can also connect you to a virtual home visiting program, Parentivity. This service is a perfect fit for families who may not qualify for in-home visits. By creating an account, you can track your child’s development and find resources like articles and videos to learn helpful tips and tricks for raising your child.
